A few centimeters of asphalt damage was enough to cause two drivers crashing and the race being interrupted for almost 40 minutes. The incident once again showed how important timely and high-quality road maintenance is – not only on race tracks, but also on ordinary roads, where it affects safety, traffic flow and the costs of subsequent repairs.
