FT-3 Microwave Patcher

The first industrially produced machine for microwave pothole heating, which enables seamless repair of asphalt surfaces. Connected to an external power generator, it requires a professional operator to make a perfect repair with the packaged mixture heated in the FF-9 microwave furnace.

Special asphalt mixtures

Our specially developed packaged mixtures for heating in a microwave oven FF-9 are used for year-round normal repairs of asphalt surfaces.

We are transforming the way asphalt surfaces are maintained

We prove that road repairs can be done quickly, efficiently, cheaply and sustainably. Timely and preventive microwave repairs prevent annoying traffic closures and save maintenance costs.

Frequently asked questions

They work on a fundamentally different principle. Infrared heaters used in infrared repairs can irreversibly damage the asphalt binder around the pothole by heating it to several hundred degrees Celsius. The overheated asphalt binder releases toxic fumes that can endanger the health of workers and negatively affect the environment.

The heated area is then mechanically raked by road workers, filled with often inhomogeneous recycled material, poured with asphalt binder, consolidated and compacted.

At first everything looks good, but after a while the areas with insufficient asphalt binder succumb to erosion and the pothole re-emerges. Unlike the patented FUTTEC® microwave technology, infrared technology – although often used on roads to repair potholes – is not an officially recognised road maintenance procedure approved by the Ministry of Transport.

Our microwave machines are the best solution for road managers and companies that carry out road repairs, for municipalities or associations of municipalities that are troubled by the poor condition of their roads, associations of municipalities or even for private owners of roads, parking lots, parking areas, etc.

Maintenance with microwave technology can be carried out on roads with different types of asphalt surface, age, slope and degree of damage. Naturally, it has the greatest benefit on newly laid roads in the first third of their life (that is, within 8-10 years of their laying), when there has not yet been major damage. However, even on older roads, it is extremely practical and advantageous.

Microwave technology is the only one that can preserve the properties of the original road: i.e. heal the pothole without changing its original parameters, especially the bearing capacity and anti-skid properties. In addition, it extends the life of the road by not expanding the repaired area by milling or demolition, does not add recycled material with a different grain size to it, and does not create any joints.
